Thailand fully reopens with free visa waiver extended to 45 days

As Thailand prepares to welcome tourists back in droves and without any restrictions, the free visa exemption has been extended from 30 to 45 days, which allows (after a 30-day extension) to carry out a stay in Thailand 75 days without a visa.
From October 1, 2022, no more proof will be required to enter Thailand, neither proof of vaccination, nor antigen test for the unvaccinated.
It is therefore the return to normal for tourists who want to go to Thailand, or more exactly the return to the pre-Covid situation, after a 30-month period that began in March 2020.
Free visa waiver extended from 30 to 45 days
As Thailand prepares to welcome tourists back in droves and without any restrictions, the free visa exemption has been extended from 30 to 45 days, which allows (after a 30-day extension) to carry out a stay in Thailand 75 days without a visa.
Free and without any prior formalities to accomplish, the visa exemption is by far the most advantageous formula for a short stay in Thailand. Normally limited to 30 days, it will be extended to 45 days from October 1, 2022 until March 31, 2023.
- Initial duration: 45 days (from 1/10/2022 to 31/03/2023) instead of 30 days in normal times.
- Maximum length of stay: 75 days
- Cost: free for the first 45 days, 1900 baht for a 30-day extension on site, i.e. a maximum stay of 75 days in Thailand without having to leave the country.
